Designed to rekindle our bond with nature, PACHA is an interactive-touch-sound installation of plants and soil that tells stories of reimagined futures, ecological symbiosis and ancestral knowledge. This decolonial response to the climate crisis celebrates the voices of Black, Indigenous, Multi-racial People of Colour (BIMPoC) and offers an alternative way forward. This installation has been co-made with BIMPoC Hackney residents through a series of explorative workshops at the Museum of the Home. Workshops included nature walks, guest speakers, creative writing, discussions and future storytelling.
The installation is wheelchair accessible and has captioning and audio description available. We advise those with a pacemaker not to use the installation. For any questions regarding access please email andrea@pachapeople.com.
